Kristen Leone, affectionately known as “Krissy,” passed away suddenly on July 23, 2026, at just 18 years of age, leaving her family, friends, and the wider community heartbroken by the loss of a bright young life filled with love, kindness, and promise. Though her time on earth was far too brief, the joy she brought to those around her and the memories she created will be treasured forever.
Krissy was known for her warm personality, infectious smile, and compassionate spirit. She had a unique ability to brighten any room she entered, making lasting friendships wherever she went. Her genuine kindness, positive outlook, and caring nature earned her the admiration and affection of everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory, including her father, Brian; her mother, Ingrid; Brian’s wife, Jocelyn; and her brother, Brady. Krissy was also deeply loved by her extended family in South Africa, including her Granny and Grampa, Uncle Pat, Aunty Shiree, and cousins Cameron, Caitlyn, and Jono. Across the globe, her Dutch family—including Opa and Oma, Nynke and Robert-Jan, and cousins Rienk, Hylke, and Maaike—join in mourning the heartbreaking loss of a beloved daughter, granddaughter, niece, and cousin.
Beyond her family, Krissy was a cherished member of the squash community and the Clarendon community, where she formed meaningful relationships and touched countless lives through her kindness, enthusiasm, and generous spirit. Her legacy will live on through the friendships she nurtured and the love she shared so freely.
A memorial service celebrating Krissy’s life will be held at the Christian Centre in Abbotsford, East London, on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 12:00 noon. Family and friends are warmly invited to wear a splash of color in honor of her vibrant personality and the happiness she brought into the lives of others.
Although Kristen “Krissy” Leone’s life ended far too soon, her memory will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for her beautiful heart, radiant smile, and the immeasurable love she gave to her family, friends, and community.
